See how UMD researchers and students simulate deep space and lunar exploration for astronauts and robots in a giant water tank—the only one in the world at a university. The session will be repeated at 3:30 p.m.
NOTE: This building does not have an elevator, and access to the second floor is only via stairs. Individuals with mobility issues are advised not to participate in tours involving the upper floor, as it is not wheelchair accessible. Additionally, the building does not have air conditioning. It may become hot indoors during warm weather. Tours will enter through the high bay door (a large garage door) located on the road-facing side of the facility.

This exhibit showcases their excavation and documentation; an adjoining exhibit will highlight the many study abroad experiences offered to MAPP students each year.
