Eduroam
For students
Eduroam allows students, researchers and staff from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity across the UMD campus and other participating institutions.
Did you know?
You can configure your devices to connect to Eduroam before you arrive on campus. Run the SecureW2 wireless network access tool on each device you wish to configure.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues joining UMD-Guest or Eduroam, please try the following steps:
- Restart your device and try to connect again.
- If connecting to UMD-Guest, please check the email account you used to register if you didn't receive a text message with your PIN.
- If connecting to Eduroam, please make sure you are using your Directory ID followed by @umd.edu as the username. For example, if your Directory ID is testudo, you should enter: testudo@umd.edu.
- Contact the IT Service Desk for assistance.
